Northshore Reconstruct - Project Update 6/5
Good Afternoon,
Construction has been in full swing this week and last, and progress is continuing to show. Looking ahead for next week, there will be some changes to construction access and work limits. The Contractor has delayed the previously mentioned extension of the project limits to the Dakota Valley Elementary until utility work progresses beyond the existing work zone. Affected property Owners will be notified again before any new changes in access. Please read on below for additional details:
Past Week Construction Activities
The Utility Contractor has:
Tied the new Sewer Force Main into the existing Force Main
Installed 8" Sewer Force Main Pipe
The Grading Contractor has:
Continued Northshore Drive corridor grading
Added Topsoil on top of the Concrete Block Mat
Erosion Control Contractor has:
Seeded and Place Erosion Control Blanket on top of the block mats

Upcoming Construction Activities
The Utility Contractor will:
Install a temporary water main for bypassing
Install temporary water services to homes within construction area
Install remaining 12" Water Main on Northshore
Install sanitary sewer and water services to homes and vacant lots
The Grading Contractor will:
Continue earthwork operations along Northshore Drive corridor
Maintain or reconstruct temporary construction access paths as needed
MidAmerican completed reactivation of their gas main on Tuesday morning, and has worked throughout the week to restore service to affected customers. If you have any issues or questions regarding gas service, please reach out to MidAmerican directly.
